Welcome To Nanyima Care
Nanyima Care is a stand-alone Not-for-Profit Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF), under the governance of dedicated volunteers from within our local community, who contribute to the planning, management, and growth of the facility. These volunteers are members of our Committee of Management (COM).
Nanyima Care RACF cares for those who are at the stage of their lives where they require expert help and care.
We have a dedicated workforce mostly from our local community as well supporting their own and ensuring a quality of care deserved by our elderly in this community.
Initially named The Valley Retirement Centre in 1992, the facility was renamed to Nanyima Aged Care. The Aged Care Act 1997 saw the facility change to embrace the concept of “Ageing in Place” thus providing a continuum of care from Low to High Care without the necessity for the residents to change or transfer to a different room in order to have their needs met.
In 2003 a new wing was added to the facility, thus upgrading the center to have 48 permanent Commonwealth Funded beds, 2 Commonwealth Funded respite beds, and 1 unfunded emergency/respite bed.
Nanyima Care was successful in obtaining a three (3) year Accreditation in March 2020 with all Aged Care Quality Standards met.
